Personal Statement
Dynamic and hard working I have brought my present college into the 21st century introducing a
variety of vocational qualifications and offering the opportunity to students to develop their
skills for life. I strongly believe in developingthe full potential of both my support staff and
students by leading fron the middle. I speakfluent french and some german and havebeen responsible
for numerous trips abroad. I have excellent ICT skills. I now feel ready for a new challenge and
would like to move away from teaching per se.
Work Experience
20 years teaching both in schools and colleges including running a large ICT department and
assistant head of a 6th form college. Teaching business and ICT up to A level dealing with
university applications and linking with the community. Dealing with parents and welfare services.
Industry Sectors
Education and training in the private sector.
Notable Achievements
Developing links with the local community and introducing the enrichment prograamme to our 6th
formers. Introducing and running a programme forstudents identified as gifted. Setting up a
vocational prograamme for students in our feeder school who were identified as problems and were
unable to follow the traditional GCSE pathway. Founding a private educational facility for mothers
wishing to update skills and return to work after several years at home.
